The Priceless Prize – SciFoo Invitation for the Winner of the Economist Carbon Capture Challenge

The Economist-InnoCentive Challenge on The Capture of Atmospheric Carbon to Address Global Warming has recently been amended to include what we call a “Priceless Prize”. A Priceless Prize typically grants access to an experience or opportunity for exposure, that a Solver would never be able to achieve on their own. In this case, the winner (or one member of the winning team) will be given an invitation to participate in SciFoo, taking place August 12 – 14, 2011.

SciFoo, or Foo Camp, is an invitation-only event that brings together about 200 leading scientists, technologists, writers and other thought leaders for a weekend of discussion, demonstration and debate.   Foo Camp is an informal conference format pioneered by O’Reilly Media, a leading book publisher and event organiser in the field of information technology. There is no predefined agenda, instead attendees collaboratively create one during the first evening, having shared ideas in advance through a wiki. Since the first O’Reilly Foo Camp in 2003, these events, now co-produced by Google and Nature Publishing Group, have become legendary and much imitated.

Below is a short video that captures the spirit of Sci Foo 2009.

I’m sure that among the group of science-minded people that are following InnoCentive, there surely must be some that are willing to look at the abundant evidence that shows that Global Warming is a hoax.

Be open minded. Let the proof guide you to truth.

My own research has shown that it is simply impossible for a 100 ppm increase in atmsopheric CO2 concentration to cause any kind of climate change
    ‘A null hypothesis for CO2′ Energy and Environment 21(4) 170-200 (2010)

It is all ocean temperatures, urban heat islands, and yes, fraudulent ‘adjustments’ of the temperature record – always to produce more warming. Browse some of the other articles on the SPPI site.

‘California climate change is caused by the Pacific Decadal Oscillation, not CO2′

The basic issue is that the theories of global warming assume some mysterious long term climate equilibrium that does not exist in reality. There has to be a thermal gradient at the surface to dissipate the heat and this drives the convection that really does the energy transfer. All of the climate models that use ‘radiative forcing’ to ‘predict’ global warming are fraudulent. These models are ‘hard wired’ with empirical ‘radiative forcing constants’ that make CO2 cause warming without any physics invloved. This includes the big NOAA/NASA/DOE models. Furthermore, there are no global warming induced ‘climate extremes’ hurricanes, sea leve rise, droughts etc. We are dealing with a massive environmental Ponzi scheme. The whole peer review process in climate science and climate related environmental science has collapsed. Word is slowly getting out about what is going. Even the Royal Society has been forced to change its tune on global warming. Hal Lewis recently resigned from the American Physical Society over the continued APS support of the global warming fraud.

“It is [the reason for my resignation] of course, the global warming scam, with the (literally) trillions of dollars driving it, that has corrupted so many scientists, and has carried APS before it like a rogue wave. It is the greatest and most successful pseudoscientific fraud I have seen in my long life as a physicist.”
