Innovation in Cannes

Last week we spent three days in Cannes at the World Innovation Convention. This intimate, high-level event proved a great setting to share experiences, learn from best practices and failures, and interact with some incredible innovation practitioners.

-          Getting creative with a PlayDoh-fuelled rescue strategy in Yesim Kunter’s workshop on gamification and playing to innovate

-          Learning about “Better Than Nothing” innovation in Africa from Philips' Bangalore Innovation Centre CEO Wido Menhardt

-          A Lego-enabled strategy and problem solving session led by Fabian Schlage, Head of Innovation for Nokia Siemens Network

-          Sharing our favourite challenge examples in the context of engaging different crowdsSio_cannes_blog

And of course, it was great to hear InnoCentive referenced on quite a few occasions from the front of the room in the context of best practice for framing problems and crowdsourcing solutions.
